Flow cytometry devices are laser-based biophysical
technology that are used for numerable functions namely, biomarker detection,
cell counting, cell sorting, and protein engineering. This is done by
suspending cells through a fluid stream and passing them through electronic
detection apparatus. Flow cytometry is extensively used for the prognosis of health
disorders, specifically blood cancer. It is also used for the clinical use
during hematology, immunodeficiency, and organ transplant, which require
accurate, sensitive, and quick diagnosis.

CytoFLEX LX is an addition to Beckman Coulter Life
Sciences CytoFLEX platform. Multi-parameter
capabilities of its patented CytoFLEX flow cytometer technology posses 6 lasers
and 21 fluorescent channels. This delivers many more parameters with the same
unmatched fluoresce sensitivity and enhanced nanoparticle detection, which is
required by the high end researchers.
The
CytoFLEX LX is easy to use and maintain. It sets new standards of fluorescence
sensitivity by reducing the loss of light to enable easy detection even to the
dim populations. It can measure as low as 10 fluorescence molecules and measure
particles that are as minute as 0.2 micrometers in size. Researchers can use
this technology to measure 2 scatter parameters in addition to nearly 19
fluorescent markers, with 6 lasers, and providing 21 fluorescent channels. It
offers highly sensitive and minute particle analysis in a bench-top analyzer.
It has an extensive set of repositionable band pass filters flexibility to
upgrade by adding extra parameters and intuitive software to improve multicolor
analysis.
Once
completely activated, the machine includes 3 florescent channels ranging from5
from the 405 nm (Violet) laser, 3 from the 375 nm (Near UV) laser, 3 from the
638 nm (Red) laser, 3 from 488 nm (Blue) laser, 3 from the 561 nm (Yellow)
laser, and 2 from the 808 nm (Infrared) laser.
The flow cytometry market is
expected to reach USD 8 billion by 2025; according to a new report by Grand
View Research, Inc. demand for rapid, accurate, and sensitive diagnostic
techniques and the prevalence of chronic diseases requiring toxicity tests can
drive the market.
