Fla., recently inaugurated its new CrowleyFresh cold storage facility in
Jacksonville. The new storage features humidity- and temperature-controlled coolers,
and monitoring equipment in two separate chambers. Cooler chambers are insulated
and firmly sealed to provide food safety and to avoid cross-contamination.
Customers may also get benefit from the dry side of the warehouse that consist
of 100,000 square feet of storage space. The facility will support the customers
using the company’s LNG-powered combination container/roll-on roll-off (ConRo)
ships. CrowleyFresh is a partnership between Customized Brokers and Crowley
Logistics.
IG International, an Indian fruit
trader, recently inaugurated its newly acquired cold store facility in Mumbai,
which was formerly utilized by Kelvin. The new 4000-pallet facility with 5,000
square meters of area can maintain temperatures ranging from -4°F to 68°F.
The global cold storage market is
projected to have a considerable development over the coming years. Rapidly growing
organized retail sector is the key factor driving the growth of the market.
